The first full length project from hip/hop and r&b producer J. Rawls and songstress Middlechild offers a unique blend of atmospheric grooves, vintage hip hop samples, and plenty of hooks. The first single "Til The Sun Comes" gets things off to a nice start while standout tracks include the laid back summer madness of "Put Somethin' In The Air", the easy like sunday morning anthem "Useless", the potent "Music Over Madness", and the positively written "My Dreams". Middlechild even drops a few funky rhymes in the interlude "Get Ghost" which draw comparisons to Lauryn Hill and Estelle. On the production tip, J. Rawls manages to keep the flow of the project with solid break beats and vibes that will remind you of hip hop's glory days.
