Replife, the stage name for Daniel Gray-Kontar, has been a busy man. After spending his formative years in the Cleveland area heading up the Poetry Slam team, practicing journalism, writing poetry and founding the groundbreaking publication, Urban Dialect, a direct antecedent of Cool Cleveland, Gray-Kontar has found himself on the Left Coast studying at the University of California at Berkeley. As Replife, he matches socially conscious verses with nu-jazz and hip-hop.
